Some of the tasks include:

• Performing accounting tasks (booking entries, setting up accounting system, reconciling accounts, closing books, etc.)
• Financial reporting (compiling financial statements, with the face of the financials and footnotes if necessary)
• Research of accounting treatment for non-routine transactions
• Audit prep
• Assisting with audits/reviews
• Implementing new accounting standards 
• Process improvement
• Advising on internal controls (setting them up) to address accuracy
